Getting here and parking

Hyde Park Picture House is located at the intersection of Brudenell Road and Queens Road in the busy suburb of Hyde Park, north of Leeds city centre.

Parking

The cinema is a 10min drive from Leeds city centre and a 5min drive from Headingley. We do not have a dedicated car park, but there is plenty of on-street parking along the residential streets which surround the cinema, with no restrictions or permits required. Visitors can usually park within 200 metres of the building.

On Foot

The cinema is a 30-40min walk from Leeds city centre, and a 15min walk from Headingley and the University of Leeds campus.

Directions from Leeds train station

Walk north up Park Row until you reach Millennium Square. Continue north along Woodhouse Lane towards, and then through, the University of Leeds campus. Once on the other side, walk through/along Woodhouse Moor/Hyde Park until you reach Brudenell Road. The cinema is located 500 metres along Brudenell Road, at an intersection between Brudenell Road and Queens Road/Chestnut Avenue.

Public Transport

The cinema is an 8-10min walk from Burley Park Train Station. Trains run regularly to Burley Park from Leeds train station via a Northern Rail service towards Harrogate.

As of September 2018, last trains from Burley Park to Leeds city centre leave at 11.14pm & 11.47pm. For up to date times, visit National Rail.

The nearest bus route is the number 56 (First Buses), which stops directly outside of the cinema in both directions. This bus can be caught from Leeds city centre at Albion Street (opposite the main Post Office) and along Eastgate/The Headrow. Alternately the 1, 6, 27 and 28 all stop at Hyde Park Corner which is approximately 7 minutes walk from the cinema.

For specific bus times for bus routes that pass near the cinema, visit the West Yorkshire Metro Journey Planner.

Blue Badge Parking

For customers with physical access requirements, who would like to park as close as possible to the cinema, please get in touch and we can reserve you a space along the paved area directly outside of the building (usually reserved for staff parking).

Access

Throughout 2021, we will be carrying out extensive redevelopment works at the Picture House, including ramped access to the main entrance, an accessible toilet on ground level, and a lift providing wheelchair access to multiple levels of the building. The cinema plans to re-open its doors at the start of 2022, following these improvements.

On The Road

With work taking place on the cinema’s redevelopment, Hyde Park Picture House is going out on the road, delivering an off-site programme of screenings and events in venues across Leeds.
